This policy applies to consumers in Washington, Nevada, California, and other states with consumer health data laws. It covers "Consumer Health Data," information linked to you that identifies a past, present, or future physical or mental health status, including conditions, medications, biometric data, and health-related location data.
What we collect and why
Health conditions, medications, and care metrics you or your Care Crew enter, strictly to display and coordinate that information within your family's account. We don't collect anything beyond what the app's features need, and we don't use it for any purpose beyond what's described here without asking you first. If you choose to attach a reference photo of a medication label or pill, that photo is stored securely and visible only to your Care Crew until you remove it; this is separate from our photo-scanning feature, where photos are used once to read information and are never kept afterward.
Who it's shared with
We never sell, rent, or lease your health data. It's visible only to the family members you personally invite into your Care Crew; you'll always see a clear prompt before an invite goes out.
Service Providers That May Process Consumer Health Data
We use service providers to operate Handled with Care. Depending on the feature you use, consumer health data may be processed by providers that support hosting, databases and storage, AI-assisted scanning or transcription, email, customer support, and device notifications. These providers may include Netlify, Supabase, Anthropic, OpenAI, Resend, Namecheap Private Email, Google Gmail, and device push-notification services from Apple, Google, Microsoft, or Mozilla. We limit the information sent to each provider to what is needed for the service they perform.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent for your health data at any time by emailing privacy@genxcaregiver.care or visiting our privacy request page. We respond within 45 days, and you can appeal any decision we make. When you delete or replace information or files, copies may remain in our backups for up to 30 days, after which they are permanently erased; we use backups only to restore the service after an error or outage.
You can read this policy in full any time from the app settings (tap your avatar, top right). Checking the box on the signup screen confirms you've had the chance to review it, and it doesn't waive any of the rights described above.

Memory care may be worth looking into if there is persistent wandering, frequent agitation, moderate to severe memory or thinking problems, or repeated safety concerns that are becoming hard to manage at home.
